Year 3, week 5: Girl, Wash Your Face

This week's book:
Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies about Who You Are So You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be
By Rachel Hollis

I have finally been able to get audiobooks back on my phone. I have been nursing like crazy to get the weight up for my littlest girl. I didn't want to just watch TV or sing the same songs over and over again, so I decided to listen to books while I nursed, while I drive to and from my little guy's school, around town, and of course when I'm doing the dishes and cleaning around the house and such.

Anyway, when I figured out how to listen to the books again one of the first books I saw listed was this week's book. Girl Wash your Face was the monster hit that almost every woman on my Facebook newsfeed has read. Personally I don't read those self help websites and books, but a few months ago (when I was feeling like an utter failure at life) I picked the book up.

The book is set up that each chapter is about one lie that the author has told herself about different elements of her life. Rachel Hollis (the author) is very well spoken and while I enjoyed the book I don't know if I got much from it. I'm a pretty outspoken women that isn't normally treated like a doormat. I  don't regret quitting nursing school and becoming a stay at home mom. I'm overweight but I literally gave birth one month ago yesterday. Again I think this book does amazing work for a gal that needs to hear that she needs to make her own way, but I'm not that gal.

I would recommend it if you are feeling like you are drowning and need a little help.
