Year 3, week 3: Too Good a Girl

This week's book:
Too Good a Girl: Remembering Olene Emberton and the Mystery of Her Death
By Janis Thornton

This week's book was recommended by my dear old Dad. He is an author and met Thornton and they swapped their newest published books. Dad doesn't normally read this type of book, but he liked the author and gave her book a whirl.

The book is about the author's former high school student that was murdered. The case was unsolved and still is. She interviewed many other classmates and fellow members of the community that remembered the case. The thing that I found interesting was that the murder victim was about my in-laws age, and she was also from a small Indiana town not that far from the town my husband and his parents were born and raised.

I normally don't like apocalypse stories or true crimes that aren't solved, but in this case it was just interesting to read about a woman trying to find some answers about a good girl who lost her life. It's not that long of a books and is a quick read. I would recommend it if you like a mystery or like crime books. It was out of my norm but I enjoyed it!
