The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
By Mark Haddon
I'm trying my best here. I'm into my third trimester and it's summer vacation so the kids are both home and trying to kill each other. This is the fourth time I'm pregnant in the hottest part of the year, I mean seriously are we sitting on the sun? I have been dying to be able to take the kids to the pool but it's just ungodly hot at the moment outside. Last year's summer pregnancy didn't work out, but I still felt like utter poop, being in what would have been my first trimester. July is one of the busiest months that we have every year. We have the fourth, little man's birthday, VBS, our wedding anniversary and many more things to come. I don't know why this pregnancy has hit me so much harder than the last two, I'm older, have two kids that I still want to take care of and this kid is just huge!!!!!!
I just realized I haven't talked about the book at all. I picked it up at the library as an audio book not knowing that it has a lot of not so appropriate words for little ears to hear. It was also on CD and guess what, our new van does not have a CD player. Oh yeah, we got a van a few weeks ago, I'm officially a Cookie Monster Blue colored van Mom. I returned the CD before finishing the book and ended up finishing it up later.
The story is about a boy from England with Autism and how he views the world. The book is very well written but I didn't really enjoy it nor do I recommend it.
